The 2025 prize will be awarded to a painting that has not been exhibited in previous awards or prizes. For the purposes of this prize, ‘painting’ is defined as a work made with a liquid medium applied to a rigid or semi-rigid support. The support must be specified (eg. canvas, board, linen, etc.). Works on paper are not accepted.

Beckett Local Prize (Acquisitive)

Submission to Beckett Local Art Prize

The Beckett Local Prize (acquisitive) of $10,000 is open to any artist who complies with Terms & Conditions 1 and who also demonstrates a connection to Bayside, defined as the municipality of Bayside, Victoria. To check eligibility please visit the following website: https://www.vic.gov.au/know-your-council-bayside-city-council. A demonstrated connection is considered to be an artist who has lived, worked or studied in Bayside or the work entered into the prize is of local subject matter.

If you choose to submit your work for consideration in the Beckett Local Prize, you will be asked to complete a Statement of Connection as part of this entry form.
